Among the abundant artisanal community of Colombia is where Maria and Laura founded Coro Cora. Inspired by the liveliness of their home, they source makers from across the country namely from Usiacur, the town on the Caribbean coast who are adept at weaving by hand. The techniques used have been passed down through many generations, and begin by shaping a wireframe over which they weave intricate patterns, forms and motifs with iraca palm.
