Among the abundant artisanal community of Colombia is where Maria and Laura founded Coro Cora. Inspired by the liveliness of their home, they source makers from across the countrynamely from Usiacur, the town on the Caribbean coastwho are adept at weaving by hand. The techniques used have been passed down through many generations and begin by shaping a wireframe over which they weave intricate patterns, forms and motifs with iraca palm.
