Towards the end of the 19th century, a group of French avant-garde ceramicists determined that pottery should be regarded as an art form. The Sarreguemines pottery was established in 1784 by brothers Nicholas-Henri and Paul-Augustin Jacobi, and partner Joseph Fabry. It wasnt until the 1860s that majolica was added to its production, leading to the 1940s release of this delightful terrine. Its crafted and glazed by hand with wonderfully lifelike details.
