The fabulous high relief hand carved banded brown and white agate stone measures 42.4mm x 33.5mm. The pin measures 1 7/8″ x 1 1/2″. The piece is heavy weighing about 20.0 dwt., and dates from 1880-1890s. There are French hallmarks on the pin stem. Small crimp in frame on reverse bottom, not visible from front.
